SAF Expert
An SAF Expert is an automotive finance specialist. The Certificate of SAF Competence provides assurance to finance customers that they are receiving expert advice from an experienced individual with a detailed technical knowledge of all aspects of vehicle financing for both private and business car buyers.
An SAF Expert is required to undertake and pass an annual assessment of their knowledge of vehicle financing and financial regulation. The testing ensures they are able to deliver a high standard of financial advice for both private and business car buyers.

The business and financial case for dealerships to get their sales staff to undertake the SAF Competence Test is compelling. The improved customer confidence that the SAF marque brings with it, will reflect on all aspects of the dealership’s image; and increased customer trust can boost all sales, not just finance.
The test was made available to motor dealers on 1 October 2007.
